This is the web site of the lady that received tons of ridicule and press for letting her 9 year old ride the subway alone in New York. I think she is spot on when it comes to how much fear the media has embedded in our minds as to how unsafe our country is, when in actuality...it is safer now than when I was a kid! I am a fan of hers now.... :)

Stress isn't funny....

When you pile and pile and pile up things to do and to worry about, you somewhere along the line pay for it. Taking a little break for a bit due to some health problems, friends. Hope to be back soon! I will probably blog here and there because its a great place to free my thoughts, although random thoughts they may be...but hey, that's ok! Hope all is well and that you are de-stressed yourself. Be back soon. :)

I am going to create little packages of vintage things in a menu theme. You will get to choose a main dish, two sides, and dessert...when you order!

It's only fitting that the new Prince album is out just about

the time we announce our purple winner.

I just about died when I saw your "Horns are showing..." layout. There is a silly story behind my giggles. And look how much that purple bled onto other layouts! Cool! The one thing I don't like about this blog is picking a winner. I want to pick all of you! :) I am working on a slide show of the entrants, so if I can figure out how to do that, all of our players will be posted in a day or two.

If you are still waiting on a treat from me, please be patient. :) So sorry that this has been a very stressful few weeks for me, and I have had to take a few detours. I am packaging them up tonight and should get to the posty tomorrow.

And, now for the next challenge! I am working on losing a little bit of weight, and I am having a stinking hard time sticking to it. SO, what are you trying to keep up with, or stick to, or keep leaving behind only to find yourself back in the same spot a little later down the road? Whew...I hear you! So tell me! Holy Cow, Batman! I got a page done BEFORE the challenge ends. Unbelievable, people...really. But I had to use the flash to get a picture for you, so, I'm sorry. Here is my take on the color purple. It is soft, and springy, and reminds me of lazy days that will be here in about 10 weeks. Oh, these days I am proud to have a teacher's schedule. Ask me in a month and I will be begging for mercy. :) Get those pages done, artists. Time is running out!
